    Tonight, the adventure begins. Feel free to explore - but make sure you're back in time to meet your group. After introductions, your CEO will review the details of your trip. (None (Meals on your own))

  • DAY 2 Quito/San Cristobal Island

    Fly to San Cristobal. Visit the Interpretation Centre in the afternoon to learn about the natural history of the area.

    Fly to San Cristobal, the easternmost island of Galapagos and one of the oldest. The principal town is Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the capital of the Galapagos.

    After lunch, visit the Interpretation Centre and learn more about the history of the Galapagos, sometimes referred to as "the Enchanted Islands." Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing on Mann Beach or swimming with playful sea lions as the frigate birds glide on the thermals.

    Learn about the history of the Galapagos Islands from the very beginning of their volcanic origins through to today's conservation efforts. Tour the Human History exhibit to learn about the islands' discovery and colonization, and discover the natural history and variety of flora and fauna that make the Galapagos so fascinating.

    In the evening, opt for a dinner and sample some of the island's fresh fish and produce.

    Free time on San Cristobal gives an opportunity to make the most of the variety of activities available here. Hire a bike for a ride around the island or rent snorkelling equipment and search for marine life. Choose to take a walk around the area and enjoy island life. (Lunch,Breakfast)

  • DAY 3 San Cristobal Island

    Snorkelling trip to Isla Lobos to search for marine life like sea turtles and manta rays and swim with sea lions. The afternoon is free to enjoy the beaches and surrounding area.

    The day begins with a short boat ride to Isla Lobos, an islet populated by numerous sea lions, which give the island its name. Spend the day snorkelling - a fantastic opportunity to observe the abundant marine life that Galapagos is renowned for. Back aboard the boat, sail to San Cristobal and have free time to enjoy the beaches and surrounding areas.

    Snorkel right off the beach at peaceful Isla Lobos, amid the families of sea lions and their inquisitive pups looking to play. Spot nesting frigatebirds and the famous blue-footed boobies resting on the shore. Be sure to bring your camera to catch some snaps at this prime wildlife watching haven.

  • DAY 4 San Cristobal Island/Santa Cruz

    Travel by boat to Santa Cruz Island. On arrival, visit the highlands of the island and the Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre.

    Visit the highlands of Santa Cruz and see the Galapagos giant tortoise in its natural surroundings. Explore the area and its incredible underground lava tunnels - some are more than 1km (.6 mi) long! Wander along the volcanic tubes and keep an eye out for the (mainly) nocturnal barn owls that sometimes roost here.

    Walk through the town's wetlands to visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Centre. Pass basking iguanas and flamingos, and head into the forest to see the gentle giants in their natural habitat at this reserve. With the giant tortoise on its way to extinction in the late 1950s, this program was established to protect these noble creatures. (Breakfast)

  • DAY 5 Santa Cruz

    Take a sea kayaking adventure at Tortuga Bay to explore the mangroves. Opt for a surf lesson in the afternoon.

    Grab a life jacket and go for a kayak adventure in the mangroves of Tortuga Bay. Keep an eye out for a wide variety of marine life, including colorful reef fish, rays, and sea turtles, as you paddle the blue waters. Relax after on a beautiful fine white sand beach, and soak up some sun - you may spot some iguanas also trying to catch some rays on the shore.

    Grab your swimsuit and get ready to hang ten! Learn how to find and ride the waves with surfing lessons from local experts. Enjoy the fresh sea air, and try to spot local marine life while enjoying the waters. (Breakfast)

  • DAY 6 Santa Cruz

    Head out on a boat tour to Loberia, Grietas, and Playa de los Perros, where there's time for some swimming or snorkelling. In the afternoon, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station.

    Start the day on a boat tour of Loberia, Grietas and Playa de los Perros, spending time exploring, swimming, and snorkelling in the crystal clear water. Afterwards, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, one of the places where you can easily spot the famous Galapagos Tortoises.

    Take a boat ride out to Isla Loberia and enjoy the amazing wildlife and scenery at Playa de Los Perros and Las Grietas. Named for the sea lions that inhabit the beach, Loberia is a coral sand beach with an abundance of wildlife. Keep an eye out for the sea lions as they bask on the beach.

    Charles Darwin Research Station Visit

    Visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, a science organization initiated in 1964, which works to preserve the Galapagos' ecosystem through the conservation efforts of scientists, researchers, and volunteers. It also provides a study location for international scientists and training for naturalist guides. Tour the exhibition centre to see photo displays of recent volcanic eruptions, charts outlining geological formations, and drawings of the evolutionary development of endemic species.

    The station is also a great place to observe many species of tortoises and land iguanas in captivity, brought back from the brink of extinction. See the famous Galapagos tortoise up close - a corral houses adult tortoises, and a nursery cares for the young until around age three when their shells have hardened. (Breakfast)

  • DAY 7 Santa Cruz/Quito

    Fly back to Quito, where the rest of the day is free to explore the city.

    After a transfer over the island of Santa Cruz, arrive at Baltra Island for our return flight to Quito. Upon arrival in Quito, transfer to the hotel for free time and one last night with newfound friends.

  2. This programme is operated on a Coach tour. Maximum Group size is 16 passengers, at an average there are 10 passengers travelling on this tour.

  3. Itinerary descriptions are guaranteed with the exception of unforeseen conditions which include, but are not limited to, road closures due to weather, acts of God, safety concerns, changes to highway legal restrictions, and acts by third parties beyond the control of Service Provider.

  4. There is no refund for any non-utilization of any services.

  5. All holiday prices are subject to Govt. Service Tax of 5% payable to Govt of India.

  10. G Adventures requires your passport number, full name and date of birth at the time of booking. Please make sure you give this information to your travel agent.

  11. Once you have confirmed your booking please give us your international flight details and advise us if you have any important issues such as allergies, special diets, etc.

  12. The Ecuadorian government currently levies a Galapagos Islands Park entry fee of $100 USD per person. This is payable at the airport upon arrival in the park. It is not included in the cost of the tour, and must be paid in CASH. This fee funds Park maintenance and supervision in Galapagos, as well as ecological study, conservation and infrastructure development in Ecuador's other National Parks. Entry fees and the funds they generate for the National Park System are among measures taken by the Ecuadorian government to protect its natural heritage.

  13. The Galapagos National Park authorities have implemented a system of Transit Control Cards at a fee of $20 USD per person. This card is to be purchased in CASH at a counter in the Quito airport before boarding the flight to the Galapagos. Please retain this card along with your passport as you will be required to present this upon arrival to the Galapagos Islands. Please note that this applies to all tourists entering the Galapagos Islands and is a supplement to the existing entry fee to the National Park and is not controlled by tour operators or travel agencies. It is the first of a number of initiatives to track, control and maintain the sustainable tourism targets set out by the Galapagos National Park and the Ecuadorian government in an attempt to preserve the fragile environment of the archipelago.

  14. All travellers are required to pay the tax on domestic flights in Ecuador. Foreign travellers are exempt form this, and proving you are indeed a foreign traveller can be done by providing us with your international ticket number (ITN). Travellers who do not submit international ticket numbers at least 30 days prior to Day 1 of their tour will be required to pay the domestic tax on all included flights.
