  • DAY 1 Arrive Amman

    The tour starts in Amman at 9am. Meet your CEO and head to Jerash, a fascinating ancient Roman city, for a guided visit. Later, continue to Ajloun. Explore the town and visit the famous Ajloun Castle before returning to Amman for the night.

    Your G Adventures CEO will pick you up at your hotel in Amman (overnight not included) or at the Amman Airport. The adventure begins!

    Head straight to the massive Roman city of Jerash and learn about life in the sprawling empire.

    En route back to Amman for the night, visit Ajloun Castle.

    Visit Jerash and Ajloun Castle before returning to Amman for the night.

    Jerash Guided Visit
    Take a step back in time visiting Jerash, one of the most well-preserved Roman sites outside of Italy. Wander amid its paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop (None (Meals on your own))

  • DAY 2 Amman/Wadi Rum

    Visit Mt Nebo and soak in the views before heading to the Dead Sea to float in the salty water. Continue on to Wadi Rum by 4x4.
    Explore the desert and stay with the local Bedouins.

    Depart for the first stop of the day at Mt Nebo. Visit the church and take in spectacular views before heading to the Dead Sea to enjoy the opportunity to float in the salty sea water. Plaster yourself with healing mud or just relax on the beach.

    Later, travel through beautiful desert scenery to Wadi Rum, home of the nomadic Bedouin people. Take a 4x4 deeper into the desert to reach the tented Bedouin camp.

    Enjoy a traditional meal and learn more about the ancient Bedouin culture on this overnight excursion.

    Stop en route to Mt Nebo and the Dead Sea.

    Visit Mount Nebo, a historic site believed by many to be the location of Moses' death and has thus been a centre for pilgrimage since the earliest Christian times. Trek to the summit (817m or 2,680 ft), and be rewarded with views of the stunning surrounding countryside and Israel in the distance.

    Discover the legendary healing qualities of the Dead Sea, famous for its unique mineral makeup and salinity. Spot salt chunks drifting by like icebergs on the water's surface. Take a dip yourself and float like a buoy or cover yourself in the mud along the shore, believed to have medicinal and therapeutic benefits. There are showers nearby to wash off after.

    Journey into the stunning, colourful desert on this 4x4 excursion. Make stops along the way to get out and explore, learn about the region or scramble up rocks or sand dunes. Reach the Bedouin camp for nightfall to learn about a new culture and eat traditional
    food beneath the starry skies.

    Camp overnight in the desert, enjoying a traditional meal and learning more about the ancient Bedouin culture. Spend the evening sitting under the stars, around a fire, listening to stories from the Bedouin hosts. If really lucky, they may bring the drums out for some music! (Breakfast,Dinner)

  • DAY 3 Wadi Rum/Wadi Musa

    Travel to the ancient city of Petra. Explore this remote red-rock kingdom with a local Bedouin guide to see the best sights Petra has to offer.

    Walk through the narrow canyon that forms the dramatic entrance to the city (the Siq), round the final corner and lay eyes on the dramatic facade of the Treasury building.

    Learn a brief history of the city. Return to Wadi Musa in the late afternoon, or continue exploring on your own.

    Stretch out and scan the scenery from the comfort of a private vehicle.

    Petra Guided Tour
    Journey to Petra to explore this fascinating, ancient city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Each tour will be different depending on the interests of the group, but everyone arrives through the dramatic Siq, rounding a corner and setting eyes on the famous Treasury building.

    With time, hike approx 25km (15 mi) to cover the entire site. Climb (steps) to two sacred hilltops. Depending on the weather and the interests of the group, opt to hike an additional 2km (1.2 mi) to see the magnificent views from the top of the Treasury. This makes for a unique and unforgettable experience.

    Get a brief history of the city, one of the greatest tourist attractions in the Middle East. The Nabateans carved this capital from the living rock of the surrounding mountains in Petra. Visit monuments that include the Pharaoh's Castle, the Triumphal arch, the Amphitheater, and the Monastery. (Breakfast)

  • DAY 4 Depart Wadi Musa/Amman

    Journey back to Jordan's capital city, Amman. Head to the airport or a hotel in the city.

    Drive via the Desert Highway to reach Amman. The driver can drop you at the airport to catch any outbound flights or at a hotel in the city. (Breakfast)

There may be some limitations to services and disruptions to schedules during Ramadan in Muslim areas, but generally our tours still operate effectively during this period and food is available to non-muslims throughout the day. It is very important to display increased cultural sensitivity during Ramadan. Please wear loose fitting clothes, that cover knees and shoulders, and try to avoid eating, drinking or smoking in public out of respect for those who can't at that time.
