    Travel to Kanchanaburi, home to the "Bridge on the River Kwai." Take a train journey over the bridge and take in a piece of World War II history.

    Take in a piece of World War II history on this visit. You've seen or at least heard of the famous movie, "Bridge on the River Kwai" -- tour the real thing and take a train ride over the bridge. It's massive, majestic, and imposing, and offers fabulous views of the river below. (Breakfast)

    Enjoy a morning visit to Erawan National Park and waterfall then visit the Thai/Burma War Museum and War Cemetery. This afternoon, travel to Ayutthaya and enjoy dinner on a converted 1930s rice barge.

    Visit one of the world's most beautiful waterfalls. Its seven tiers offer a unique experience at every climb, reaching up to 1,500m (4921 ft). Swim in the turquoise pools, snap photos from the top tier, and opt to hike in the jungle to spot monkeys.

    Thai/Burma War Museum and Allied War Cemetery Visit

    Visit the Allied War Cemetery, the Thai-Burmese Railway Museum, and JEATH (Japan, England, America, Thailand and Holland)

  • DAY 4 Phra Nakhon Si Ayuthaya / Chiang Mai

    Explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ayutthaya Historical Park, which served as Thailand's capital from the 14th to 18th centuries, when it ranked as one of the most magnificent cities in the world. Later, return to Bangkok to catch a flight to Chiang Mai.

    Explore the ruins of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ayuthaya served as Thailand's capital from the 14th to 18th centuries, when it ranked as one of the most magnificent cities in the world. Late in the 17th century its population reached one million, and foreign visitors wrote awestruck accounts of its size and splendour.

  • DAY 5 Chiang Mai

    Following a visit to the local markets with a chef we will enjoy a Thai cooking class at a private culinary school, then have the dish for lunch. Later we'll visit the historic Wat Chedi Luang and sit down with one of the young Monks to discuss daily life and Buddhism. Listen to monks chanting at Doi Suthep Temple, one of the most stunning golden Temples in Thailand. Monk Chats are a great cultural exchange, but is also important in helping the young Monks improve their English.

    Pick out the best ingredients at a local market and learn how to make delicious Thai dishes.

    Meet with Monks at Wat Chedi Luang
    Chiang Mai
    Visit the 14th-century Wat Chedi Luang Buddhist temple in the heart of Chiang Mai's old city. Sit down with young monks to discuss daily life and Buddhism, and leave feeling spiritually refreshed. Monk Chats are informal discussions at a round table with a prepschool age Monk, usually accompanied by their teacher.

    Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a golden Buddhist temple outside of Chiang Mai on the Mt Doi Suthep. Climb 300 steps to reach the temple and be rewarded with an unforgettable view. Admire the many Buddhist relics at this sacred temple and visit the white elephant shrine. Legend has it that the location of the temple was chosen after a white elephant carried a relic to the mountain and trumpeted three times before dying on the spot. Also, with a little luck, you may witness the chanting of the monks.

    Pick up a souvenir at this shopper's paradise. Wander through the market to find music, food, and local artists selling handmade crafts.

    Chiang Mai Cycling Tour

    Meander through the old city of Chiang Mai on bike.

    Later we travel to the countryside, visiting a local village and enjoying an authentic khantok dinner in a family's home.

    Travel to the countryside near Chiang Mai and enjoy dinner northern khantok style, a must-do when you reach northern Thailand. Khantok in the Northern dialect means wooden tray, used for carrying dishes, round in shape and made of teak wood. The host will invite guests to sit on the floor around the khantok. Main dishes usually include sticky rice, hang-le curry (Burmese-styled curry), and some chill-pasted crispy pork. Later, enjoy tea time with the opportunity to talk with local people to learn their way of living.

    Visit a village outside Chiang Mai and sit down to an authentic Khantoke dinner in the home of a local family. Dishes typically include sticky rice, hang-le curry, and crispy pork with chilli paste. Over tea, learn about life in rural Thailand and visit the family garden and learn about herbs and spices popular in local cooking. (Breakfast,Dinner)

  • DAY 7 Chiang Mai / Bangkok

    Flight to bustling Bangkok for a klong riverboat ride through Bangkok's canals and visit to Wat Po, the famed Temple of the Reclining Buddha.

    Travel by longtail boat on the busy Chao Phraya River. Go through the smaller klongs (canals) to see skyscrapers, temples, and shops in the distance, and the densely populated waterfront settlements up close.

    This temple is known for its reclining Buddha, its feet covered with mother-of-pearl engravings of Buddhist symbols. Explore the large grounds and other compounds to see other Buddha figures, murals and the chedis that contain the ashes of Buddha. This is also the birthplace of traditional Thai massage.

    See Thai artifacts on display from the Dvaravati, Srivijaya, Sukhothai and Ayutthaya periods as well as other Southeast Asian collections.

    Bangkok Cycling Tour

    Hop on a bike and explore the quieter side of busy Bangkok. Cycle through the city and see hidden temples and lush parks. Amazing street food vendors abound so be sure to stop for a bite and refuel.

    Optional Welcome Meeting for Travellers on Combos
    You may be a seasoned pro at group travel by now, but there will likely be some new travellers joining the group. Sit in on the welcome meeting to meet the newest members of your group and learn about the next leg of your tour. (Breakfast)

  • DAY 9 Bangkok / Ko Samui

    Catch a flight to the tropical island of Koh Samui, settle in at the resort hotel and relax at the pool bar. Opt to visit the Beach or town.

    Lying off of Thailand's east coast in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Samui offers everything you could possibly want in a seaside retreat: white sandy beaches, coconut palms, fresh seafood, and warm, clear waters.

    Our hotel is located at the vibrant and exciting "Chaweng" district, walking distance to restaurants, entertainment spots and shopping. Catch a tuk tuk to the various beaches close tour our hotel.

  • DAY 10 Ko Samui

    Embark on a boat tour to Ang Thong Marine Park, including a kayak trip along Koh Mae Ko. Enjoy an easy jungle trek to the green lagoon.

    We transfer by boat to Ang Thong Marine National Park and enjoy morning kayaking along the stunning coastline of Koh Mae Ko.
    After landing on the beach you can try an easy but magnficient climb through the dense tropical forest and narrow ravines taking you up to the Talai Nai, or "Green Lagoon," with a spectacular island vista.

    Return to the boat and cruise through the stunning scenery of the park while a delicious buffet lunch is served. Continue on to Tai Plao Island in the north of the Park and explore ancient limestone caves and rock formations along the coast by kayak. Later you can choose to return to the boat and sunbathe or snorkel before returning to Koh Samui.

    Take a flight to a tropical paradise, Krabi. Settle in this evening, then enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

    Stay close to the beach and enjoy some of the beautiful scenic views that have made southern Thailand so famous. In the evening, grab a cocktail and relax at the pool. Your CEO will fill you in on all the other interesting options that are available in the area. This is the perfect place to get active or simply chill out and relax.

    Our resort is located a short distance by tuk tuk to Aonang Beach and Noppharat Thara Beach. Enjoy the resort's excellent facilities including restaurant and bars, three large outdoor swimming pools, and rejuvenating spa (additional cost).

    Cross Krabi River by typical long tail boat with our local guide, visiting caves and mangroves. Later, jump in tricycle tuk-tuks to explore local communities and rural industries, including a rubber plantation to see tree tapping, rice fields and a batik workshop. Learn about the culture and daily life of rural southern Thailand villagers.

    With our local guide, cross the Krabi River by typical long-tail boat, and jump in tuk tuks to explore local villages and farming communities. Interact with people going about their daily lives farming rice and vegetables and other rural industries. Learn about the culture and beliefs of the mostly Muslim population.

    Phi Phi Islands snorkelling excursion
    Krabi
    Set off by boat to the Phi Phi Islands for a full-day snorkelling and sightseeing excursion. The Phi Phi Archipelago consists of nine islands. Stop off at the backpacker haven of Phi Phi Don for shopping, exploring, or beach-lounging, and enjoy several stops for snorkelling throughout the day. Clear blue water with coral reefs and marine life await.

    Maya Bay Boat Trip
    Krabi
    Enjoy a boat trip to Maya Bay and the surrounding islands, including Monkey Island, where the monkeys have long fangs to crack open crab shells. We then go on to Koh Phi Phi, where the movie "The Beach" was filmed. Get to know the local marine life while snorkelling. Explore the amazing Viking Cave. (Breakfast)

    Return to bustling Bangkok. The tour ends at the airport. Please book onward travel after 3pm.
